Detail from the queue for the Peter Pan's Flight ride, at Disneyland Paris.
Yesterday, I did Peter Pan's Flight for the first time in a looooong time. Because of that ride's abnormal waiting times, I rarely do it without taking a FastPass, so I never go through the normal queue.
However, the park was almost empty yesterday, so we just did, and only waited about 15 minutes.
I notice this little gate, and I suddenly halted and gasped (my friend got a bit sacred, I think I looked as thought I'd seen a ghost or something)
This gate has "Kirriemuir" written on it. The name of JM Barrie's birthplace. I had never seen it before, I had never seen any reference to the original story or it's author. It was so unexpected, I didn't know how to react. Especially with how I've been feeling lately, ie: not very well at all.
Thing is, I believe in fate.
JM Barrie saved my life 6 years ago, and I think he just saved it again.
He gave me hope, he reminded me of why I wanted to go to Edinburgh, why I'm studying these subjects I don't care about, why I have to hold on and never give up.
So I won't give up.

Wooo! Fave! I love to see that people don't completely forget it was J.M.Barrie who created Peter Pan. It always seems to be Disney who gets the attention for it now a-days. Being a resident of Kirriemuir, It makes me a little depressed sometimes but seeing this has lightened my spirits
